Head Teacher, Anne O'Connor welcomed
Bishop Peter on his first visit to Holy Family
School. After signing in he was then taken
on a tour of the school

Bishop Peter managed to visit all classes between Nursery and Year 3, and one Year 6 class.  The plan was that he would meet children in every class but he got so involved with the children on his tour that we ran out of time.
Fortunately though, all children met him through the two special liturgies

During the morning, Bishop Peter blessed the new Classroom.
Members of the Governors
and the school council were also present

Jack Conlon-Benz, a pupil at our School,
wrote a lovely song for Bishop Peter’s visit.
After it was performed, Bishop Peter was
presented with a framed picture of the lyrics.

At the end of the assembly Bishop Peter thanked head teacher, Anne O’Connor and all her colleagues for their obvious hard work in preparation for today. He praised the children for the incredible gentleness and courtesy they had shown and promised he would return soon again.

In response Mrs O’Connor thanked the bishop and Fr’s Kevin and Jude for blessing the new classroom, and also thanked all her team at the school for making this day such a wonderful success.
