There was an incredible turnout at all Masses on Saturday and Sunday, 7th and 8th February to welcome Bishop Peter who was making a pastoral visit to the parish.
Bishop Peter thanked Father Kevin for his continuing energetic work within the parish and praised the parishioners for their dedicated religious strength that was keeping our church so alive in Langley.
At the end of the service he spoke to everyone in the narthex as they left the church.

BISHOP PETER
has written to us after, (and I quote) 'spending a wonderful weekend with the community at Holy Family Parish! It was great to have the opportunity to meet with so many people from the Faith Sharing group through the Parish Council, the Confirmation Candidates, the Daughters of St Paul and each of the Sunday Masses.'
Bishop Peter goes on to thank everyone for your warm welcome and hospitality. Well done.
To the Confirmation Candidates, Bishop Peter had this to say. ' My Dear young People, It was great to see so many of you when I visited last weekend. 49 of you handed me a letter asking to be Confirmed. I am so delighted that you are seeking the gift of the Holy Spirit to strengthen you as a friend of Jesus when so many of your friends do not believe in God. I look forward to coming to Holy Family Church to confirm you in July. In the meantime, be sure of my prayers for you, for your families and for the Confirmation team.
Do go to mass every Sunday and do attend all the sessions to prepare for Confirmation. With every blessing, Bishop Peter.
(Next meeting for those enrolled is Saturday March, 28th at 10.00 a.m.)
