St Bernard's Grammar School
Lenten Liturgy 2009

Reflections Upon The Way Of
Jesus To The Cross

I sat in my pew on Wednesday night and read item 1 on the programme: “The Syro-Phoenician Woman” and I panicked a little – was this for me? Then the lights dimmed and the evening commenced. ….

From then on it was necessary to do a reality check to confirm that I wasn’t sitting in a west end theatre production but was actually in Holy Family Church watching St Bernard’s Grammar School presenting their Lenten Liturgy 2009
It was superb.
The theme was Reflections upon the Way Of Jesus To The Cross and consisted of a collection of beautiful hymns, verse, dance and prose complimented with a selection of projected images.
The presentation was contemporary, stylish and slick and the students and their tutors are to be complimented on presenting us with such a professionally modern insight on our faith.
More please.

At the end of the presentation, John McAteer, headteacher, thanked everyone for coming along and complimented the students and teachers who had worked so hard to make the evening such a success.
